Finally watched Runaway (Kanye West’s short film/long music video) this week. It’s what you’d expect, basically an animated high-fashion editorial with weird, vague symbolism and some kinda heavy-handed racial commentary. That said, it is just lush as hell, and if you appreciate that flavor of eye-candy you’ll enjoy it. Runaway (the song) is hilarious to me while also being a really good song –  the one that goes “Let’s have a toast for the douchebags”, etc. I feel like most of his songs ever are either ‘I am the best person in the world’ or ‘I’m an asshole’.

Do you ever wonder if Kanye has any really good friends? I do. I mean like, I hope so.
